Isabel Rosado

Isabel Rosado, is a long time nationalist who participated in the uprisings of the 1940s and 1950s. She was a young social worker when she first joined the Nationalist Party.

After hearing about the Ponce Massacre of 1937, where 19 Nationalist demonstrators were killed and over 200 injured, Isabel decided to join the party. She was sentenced to 17 years in prison and served 13 for her support of the Nationalist Party, and the Puerto Rican independence movement. Today at the age of 99, Isabel still remains active and supports the independence movement.
