Dylcia Pagan was a former member of the Fuerzas Armadas de Liberacion Nacional (FALN), a revolutionary army that fought for the independence of Puerto Rico.
Dylcia served 19 years in federal prison with a charge of seditious conspiracy for her participation in the FALN.
Born and raised in the El Barrio section of New York Citys El Barrio, she bacame a star child and appeared on NBC's Children's Hour with Ed Hurly. She later became an activist in college by participating in the struggle for students' rights and founding the Puerto Rican Student Union. She later became a television producer.
Active today, this former Puerto Rican political prisoner still strongly supports the independence movement.
